Made in 1964 at Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur and entered VI from Batu Road Boys School One in 1977.
 
School antics/achievements: Member of Red Crescent society, Interact Club, Archery Club (Vice Chairman), Badminton team until Form 3 (partnered Rahman Sidek for a while); was monitor in every year (except Form 3 under Ms Vaz  - “because she wanted her class to win cleanest class and I was not the man for it!”.
 
Further education - Randwick Boys High School, Sydney for year 12 (1983);  Australia National University, Canberra, Australia - Bachelor of Commerce (1984).  "The only thing this course thought me was that ... 1 plus 1 in the hands of good accountants can be almost anything!".
 
Work:
First paying job:  Petrol station “senior” pump attendant for Bapa-punya-business; on graduation - Internal Auditor for Hyatt Group.

Current events

Career: Chief Operating Officer of Microlink Solutions Berhad.
Responsibilities/areas of focus:  Running Operations.
Current targets at work : Make money for shareholders!

Family members: Married to Jennifer Siah since 1987. 
Sons - Gus Oon (born 1990); Hans Oon (born 1992) – their notable talents:  “spending father's hard earned money!”. Gus and Hans both dabble in the performing arts, and have both done some commercials on TV (Gus did some TV Pendidikan ones). BOTH STUDIED AT VI!!
 
Outsider career activities:  Captain of LAJOO KLFC (mainly VI boys of batch ‘81); Golf; Trekking and trying to do more charity activities.

Future plans

Professional goal:  Own and run own business instead of making money for others!
Health goal: Play football until 55!
Wishes - "Wake up healthy, feed on delicious Malaysian food, cheerful drinks with friends and peaceful evening with family".
 Favourite makan places in KL - anywhere as long as with friends.
